| Description: | ZYX RS-20h moving coil phono cartridge in near mint condition, with less than 30 hours. List price $650, asking $350 shipped. I know, I know - everyone claims low hours on their used carts but in this case you gotta believe me; I have played no more than 30 sides on this one, everyone vacuum cleaned. Bought new from the US dealer SORAsound in August, 2005 to use as a backup while my main cartridge was being re-tipped. Since then it’s been sitting in the box untouched.
It is in flawless condition, with a perfectly straight cantilever, no cleaning fluids used. At 30 hours it is just broken in. It is a nice introduction to the famous ZYX sound – it especially shines on acoustic guitar and chamber music but can rock hard when asked to. The RS-20 has been discontinued but is functionally identical to the R-50 Bloom, the current entry level ZYX cartridge. Output is .48mV, sapphire cantilever, line contact stylus.
