| Description: | Welcome to the Adagio EXtreme by Response Audio. Our goal with this venture was to take an already exceptional loudspeaker and bring forth every last nuance of potential the Adagio has to offer. Like most of our Bella EXtreme products, The Adagio EXtreme is not designed to a *price point* rather designed for those who want only the absolute best any given design has to offer.
After having shown with our Response Audio Bella Extreme 100 at RMAF06, Robert Lee of Acoustic Zen Technologies not only purchased our amps himself, but also has given Response Audio the Exclusive Rights for our Adagio EXtreme modification venture. We would also like to state that the Response Audio Adagio EXtreme is fully authorized by Acoustic Zen Technologies without any compromise of the Acoustic Zen Technologies factory warranty.
Over the years, technological developments in the passive components used within a speaker's crossover as well as the materials used to assemble them have become much more advanced. Within the Adagio EXtreme, you will find some of the most advanced designs in Oil Impregnated and Teflon audio capacitors, Air Core inductors and non-inductive resistors with very tight tolerances.

EXTERNAL EXTREME CROSSOVER:
Response Audio / Bella EXtreme has developed a new external crossover enclosure for the Adagio EXtreme crossovers. The EXtreme crossover can now be built into our custom design high gloss black acrylic enclosures. (see picture below). Using Speak-On connectors at both ends, the external crossover will be connected to the loudspeaker cabinet via custom made umbilical cords utilizing the same 14 awg Continuous Cast Copper (CCC) cabling used within the speaker cabinet. High quality 5 way binding post are utilized at the external crossover enclosure for connection of your speaker wire.
Standard umbilical cord length on floorstanding speakers is 30 inches and 40 inches for the Adagio Jr. stand mount speaker.
For a limited time, we are offering the EXternal EXtreme modification to your Adagio loudspeaker at an introductory price of only $1,695 complete plus shipping for both the Floorstanding and Jr. speakers. THE DETAILS:
When we receive your Adagio loudspeakers in for the EXtreme EXternal upgrade modification, we start by first removing the stock internal crossover and internal damping materials. We then procede to rewire the loudspeaker and connect to a custom mounting plate on the back of the speaker that contains the Speak-On connector. At this point we install the new damping material used in the EXtreme modification and close things up by reinstalling the drivers.
After assembling andand testing the EXternal EXtreme crossovers, we then connect everything for a minimum 12 hour burn in. After this is complete, the speakers and crossovers are packed up and sent back to you for your listening enjoyment.
