I am the original owner of this rare beauty seldom seen up for sale. Sometimes called "The Mastering Room Preamp". I won't go into all the technical details and specs here...the Manley Mausoleum page does an excellent job in that regard.

This is "modern" tube sound at its finest: fast, transparent, expansive and dynamic as all get out! Yet the warmth, dimensionality and palpability confirm that you are listening to tubes.
Build construction is superb and bullet-proof. High quality parts.
The design is completely DUAL-MONO with separate power supplies for each channel including two custom designed power transformers. The audio boards are also separate. All the wiring from the rear input connectors to the front selector switch and precision custom stepped attenuator is painstakingly hand wired using professional studio twisted pair shielded six-9's copper cable for optimum shielding and low noise characteristics.

I have owned this unit for 8+ years without a single glitch. Dead quiet...never a single snap, crackle or pop. Volume pot is discreet resistor, one of the best.
An added feature that I really liked is the user adjustable feedback (labelled as "balance" on the faceplate). Dialing in some feedback is useful in optimizing the gain, speed, and slew rate of the preamp to your system. It can also be used to adjust for slight channel imbalances. I found that by employing various amounts of feedback I could subtly (but noticeably) shape the tonality to my preference. Borrowing from the amp world, I found it akin to moving the sound from pentode (no feedback) to triode.

Note that this unit has MM phono only. Last I checked, the good folks at Manley can add MC capabilities for a very reasonable cost.

All inputs are RCA. Outputs are RCA and balanced.
I really enjoyed my time with this piece. But time to scratch the upgrade (???) itch and find it another home. This reliable pre is really tank-built and has many years left in it. For my price, hard to imagine beating this performance.
Complete with manual and original sturdy packaging.
Tubes have low hours.
